Jet-setting to exotic Dubai, or anywhere in the world, for that matter, is all about living the good life.
Ever since I started flying with Emirates, they have won every angle of my travel experiences, hands down! Their awesome service, awesome entertainment, and of course their fab food! Plus I found flying Emirates with kids is superb. They definitely know how to keep the kids entertained!
I had a slight break in travelling, so when we recently flew to Thailand, I was left rather confused…and I’m not quite sure what to make of it all, really.
Remember boarding a plane, getting to your seat and finding your little goodie bag waiting for you? Well, it appears it no longer happens on some of the really long flights now. Anyone know why…?
Our first flight was a night flight…we flew from Cape Town to Dubai at 6:05pm, and it was a 9 hour flight. Surely we should have received the little goodie bag on this flight, no…?
Long distance travel is tiring and you would think that the airline would stick to its tradition of providing the basic toothpaste, a toothbrush and the all-important sleep eye patch, oh and let’s not forget those socks. Instead, it appears that the flights between Cape Town – Dubai – Dubai – Cape Town, this no longer happens. What we did get was headphones and the eye patch, that’s it!
It does however, happen on the Dubai – Bangkok – Bangkok – Dubai flights.
Remember to pack everything you might possibly need on your flight. Or land with un-brushed teeth anyway.
Other than my confusion over this matter, I really can not fault Emirates at all…for me personally they are still by far the best airline.
