Listen up couples who are planning to elope, this message is for you. With Valentine’s Day recently, there’s surely a lot of you out there! It is now possible to get a marriage license from the moment you land in Las Vegas!
Over 80,000 couples in love get married in Las Vegas each year, and the number is steadily increasing. Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year in Las Vegas chapels so Las Vegas came up with a creative solution.
McCarren Airport in Las Vegas has set up a temporary kiosk in the baggage area in terminal one that acts as a marriage license booth. Yes, you can get married right there in the airport! And while that may not be quite romantic enough for a lot of couples, it’s certainly a great idea and would make for a fantastic and unique wedding story.
The marriage license kiosk was set up in an effort to make things easier for couples who planned on getting married in Vegas. However, the kiosk doesn’t offer a ceremony so couples who want to do the whole shebang will need to seek a ceremony elsewhere, but at least they can get the actual license out of the way as the first thing they do upon arrival.
The kiosk has been open since the 9th of February and will open all the way until the 17th of February. The opening times will be from 9 am to 5 pm each day, which should be noted when booking your flight. Marriage licenses from the kiosk cost an affordable $77 and the licenses can be used at many venues around Las Vegas, including the famous Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel and the Elvis Chapel. Couples planning on making use of the marriage kiosk in Terminal 1 should fill out the pre-registration form that can be found at Clark County website. This will make the process even simpler and quicker.
Las Vegas has always been known as the perfect place for an impromptu wedding and it seems as if they are truly embracing and living up to their reputation!
